Long Poses In Charcoal, Mostly Mid 1990's


These large charcoal drawings ( mostly 75cm x 55cm) date in the main from around 1994 to 96 when I was a regular at June Collier's great evening class in West Hampstead (London). At that time the class lasted for around 3 hours with 1 pose for the whole session. This was a bit of a golden era for me as it meant it was possible to focus on one drawing for a (latterly) unprecedented length of time. Scroll down for more images:
